Heavy Lift and Jack-Up Vessel fixture: GRS Brokerage for Nordergründe AC Platform

“We’re proud of being the competent shipbroker for this challenging project”, GRS Broker Ralph Schnee is pleased to say. Commencing with this project already in November 2015, GRS brought all parties, vessel owners and charterers together and facilitated the full Heavy Lift and Jack-Up Accommodation Vessel Tender and Brokerage Service for charterers WPD. After the joint definition of the charter enquiries and considering all technical issues, GRS enquired detailed and binding offers from owners with suitable tonnage for this installation and commissioning project, which lead to final contract awards to company Scaldis Salvage & Marine Contractors NV for the Heavy Lift Vessel RAMBIZ 3000 and MPI Offshore B.V. for the Jack Up Vessel MPI RESOLUTION. GRS’ services were to a high satisfaction of all parties responsible for a smooth tender process as well as acting as the main contact for all questions and queries during the whole charter period. “Keeping all parties satisfied is our intention – and our close broker support with steady communication is the key“, adds Philippe Schönefeld, Managing Partner of GRS.

By chartering the Heavy Lift Vessel RAMBIZ 3000, WPD arranged the installation and lift of their Nordergründe AC Platform on the already preinstalled foundation. For the hook-up and commissioning works the self-propelled Jack Up Vessel MPI RESOLUTION is providing hotel accommodation and crane services.

The Nordergründe wind farm is a 111 MW project comprising 18 turbines of type Senvion 6.2M126 and is situated in water depths of 10 meters within the 12 sea mile zone of the German North Sea and 15 km to the North-East of the island of Wangerooge.
